Description:
Replica of a V—42 SF Knife used during WWII; was a combat dagger used during the war by the Devil's Bridgade commandos, part of the First Special Service Force —— a joint US/Canada unit that spawned the Special Forces; every part of the knife was made with the intent of combat. After use in the field against the Germans, unit members purposely dulled the tip to minimize its habit of embedding tinto bone and becoming difficult to withdraw. It is an enduring symbol of the U.S. Army and is on the crest of the Special Forces.
