Description:
Belt of a Viet Cong/ North Vietnamese Soldier; has a gold colored buckle with a star etched into it; the belt itself is made of brown leather, which has dried and broken into two pieces.

Provenance: Belt was removed from an NVA infantryman by 1LT Leslie D. Kennedy, Co. A, 2nd BN. (A), 502nd Infantry, 1st Bde,. 101st Airborne Div. who received the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions on 15 Sept., 1996.
